Grey Phalarope at Fairhaven FIVE (and last)

You will be pleased to hear I am not planning to post anymore on this subject, but saved the 'art photos' for last... primarily once again because the changing conditions produced different results.

For those who were not able to attend at the time – at one point I was sat on the edge of the lake while this little gem swam underneath my feet... too close to focus! Fading memories already; I guess if I wanted and maybe on a rainy day I will retouch some of the flotsam and out of focus surface gnats from the background, but these are as taken. Enjoy – I, along with many others certainly did.

The frightening thing is, or maybe I'm just a cynic; this creature, even now in 21C had no fear of man. It doesn't bode well! Or perhaps it's reassuring... we haven't managed to make a total horlicks of everything yet.

and fare thee well ...

These are beauties Geoff, I really like the light and the calm serenity of this bird. Good photographs. Your first one is a 'belter'!

Cheers Christian, I'm glad that serenity comes across, a bit different to the second posting on the subject...

Always a joy to see what you've been up to and the resulting achievements Geoff. I don't think anyone will be 'pleased' to hear you're not posting any more.

Keep up the good work GG.

Hi Pete, SORRY you haven't got rid of me THAT easily! I hope to be able to continue with my nonsense albiet sporadic... it was intended to read the last post on the Grey Phalarope only... then again I may change my mind on that! Sorry if I confused issues. All things being equal... I will return.

Geoff. Absolutely Brilliant,I thought your last post was good, but this beats it hands down, you know when you've got a good'un. The light is just perfect and well done for keep going back till you got what you wanted.

Geoff. You certainly saved the best till last. These are absolutely stunning.I particularly like the one with the colourful reflections but they are all very special. We all wish this fabulous little bird well,it gave us all so much pleasure.
