Calopteryx splendens
Another example of expansion of a species... this was only ever known south of the River Ribble but over recent years has gradually spread north into the Fylde.
The male is the flashy one in blue with the blue wings with darker bands, the female is a little more subdued, in green and without the dark bands on the wing. The last image provides an indication of size and habitat. Usually along slow moving water.
